Learn how to convert dark PDF notes, optimize printer toner usage, cover unwanted headers or margins, and print multiple slides per sheet.
1. How to Invert Dark Lecture Slides
Upload your PDF to the homepage converter. By default, our algorithm detects dark background pixels and inverts them to pure white (#FFFFFF) while preserving the natural color contrast of diagrams and mathematical formulas.
If some slide headers or dark boxes remain grayish, check the Force White Background toggle to snap all near-black backgrounds into paper-white.
2. Invert Colors vs. Grayscale Mode
Invert Colors (Color Mode): Best for Physics, Biology, and Chemistry slides where color-coded graphs, magnetic field lines, biological organs, and chemical bonds convey vital information.
Grayscale Mode: Converts all colors into black, white, and monochrome shades of gray. Best for laser printers and monochrome cartridges to achieve the absolute lowest cost per printed page.
3. N-Up Multi-Page Layout (Save 75% Paper)
Instead of printing 1 slide per page (which wastes paper on huge empty margins), use our Layout tab to arrange:
- 2 Slides per Page: Ideal for horizontal landscape slides; perfectly readable.
- 4 Slides per Page (2×2 Grid): Cuts paper consumption by 75%; ideal for revision summaries.
4. Covering Unwanted Headers and Margins
Use the Cover Area tool on any slide preview. Drag an area mask over repetitive header banners or margin notes in the top or bottom corner. Printify Notes will cover that area with clean white across all pages in your document.
